Past Commissions

Below are several examples of the incredible works i’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of.

Curating pieces from ideas to realities is one of my biggest passions, so hopefully these can serve as inspiration for your OWN commission ideas!

Custom laser engraving is available on most projects! Email for more details and to see what Mustache Pete can do for you!

Nature has a way of doing better woodworking than I can sometimes, so Ive learned to not fight it, but embrace the “flaws” to celebrate its uniqueness. Yeah Im a huge nerd about this, to the point of spending two hours sanding all the imperfections by hand. Made with Avocado wood from local trees that had to be cut down by the city for safety reasons. Power lines are happy, and the person who got this catch-all tray is stoked too! Everybody wins!

Our Hexagon charcuterie board with a dessert twist.

The second year of doing awards for the San Luis Obispo Public Works Week BBQ Competition! These are from last year where the winners each received a hexagon cutting board made from variations of cherry, walnut, and padauk.

Its always fun truly customizing the pieces I do to bring a gift to the next level. make sure to ask if you would like something custom on YOUR next piece!

December is always the busiest time for us big-bearded toy makers, but I HAD to squeeze this project into the commissions list for the year! It was TOO cool of an idea and I wanted to make something Santa would be proud to have his name on. Wheels made from walnut and padauk, the body made from 100+ year old lumber from my family’s estate. Truly a hand-made original that will be hard to top, and will be passed on down through the generations.

Our INCREDIBLE friends at Bing’s Bao Buns asked me to make this sign where the tiles can be rearranged to indicate if they are out of bad buns for the day. Get there early cuz the demand is high for a good reason. Head on down to the SLO Public Market in San Luis Obispo! Located at 3845 South Higuera St, San Luis Obispo, CA, 93401

I received a request to do a large wooden cigar ashtray for a friend’s man-cave bar. It inspired me to keep making them and unlocking the incredible designs that nature makes! All ashtrays are charred to season the bowl and hand sanded to a glass finish. Made from solid Walnut burl.

Baseball bat holder, made with cherry wood and 100 + year old reclaimed lumber. Baseball bat was customized with laser engraving I designed with the customer. All my pieces are customizable with last names, favorite teams, business logos, and more…

This Jeep came with a built-in BBQ tailgate, and like all Jeeps it needed to be named and customized. I was glad to be a part of the process and also learn something new about the culture!

Live edge burl walnut I turned into a GIANT serving board.

Modern elegant earring display from dark walnut & brass

Modern Gnome incense burner, made from 100+ year old reclaimed lumber

Mushrooms are in, especially when they are paired with some incredible wood grain!

100+ year old lumber, BIG serving board for a RAD couple that came to one of the events I did. Oak wine barrel stave inlays and buffalo leather strap. 4ft long.

Several of the things I love to make regularly now start out as a Commision someone submits to me and I truly enjoy SO MUCH I have to keep make them again and again. I love doing Vinyl Record Holders and have several ways of customizing them, including initials, various wood color combos, etc.

From our friends at IMC Building, this is one of many beautiful pieces they give to each of their clients after completing a remodel. Customized with the client’s last name and hand drawn images by your’s truly.
